Rescue Squad: If it kicks ass, we'll play it!
Rescue Squad is a 5-piece rock cover band from the DC/VA/MD area that provides heavy doses of hits. Our set list includes the latest rock covers as well as the timeless classics you know and love. We bring nothing but high-energy rock and we infuse our own dynamic edge into our sets to ensure a unique and compelling show!
Here's the Squad:
John "JR" Russell (Lead and Harmony Vocals): JR hails from the sunniest vacation state in the midwest known as Michigan. He started singing outside of choirs during college at Michigan State University, breaking out by covering songs like "Let's Get it Started" by the Black Eyed Peas. Since 2006, JR has been a resident of the DC area, pulling from a variety of artists to get inspiration including everything from classic rock, alternative rock, and, of course, the Top 40. Get ready, because it's time to bring it.
Marty Card (Rhythm Guitar and Vocals): Marty like sing. Marty like riff. Marty like rock.
Ed Palomo (Bass): Ed is originally from Texas, where he earned the nickname “The Texas [censored].” His favorite color is bass. His hobbies include slapping the bass. His favorite fish is the bass. When he’s not laying down the bass with Rescue Squad, he’s probably playing bass with his dogs or enjoying a long walk on the bass.”
Matt Greene (Lead Guitar): I’ve been playing guitar for about 18 years. I also play bass, keyboards, and sing. I write and record my own music. I’m primarily influenced by Iron Maiden, Rush, Fuel, Al Pitrelli, Yngwie Malmsteen, Cold, and Queensryche.
Steve Scothorn (Drums): Originally from Ohio, they kicked him out in his late teens and he made his way to the DC Metro area. If it grooves, he’ll dig it. If it makes noise, he’ll hit it. And if sounds good, he’ll like it.
